COLLECTIVE WITHOUT A HEAD (PL. BEZ GŁOWY)
WITHOUT A HEAD (pl. BEZ GŁOWY) is a Collective formed by Judyta Daria Potocka and Laurence McManus.
Doing something without a head (org. bez głowy) ultimately leaves us embodied. The head is lost, chaos ensues, the body becomes a vessel of creative work, a home.
The Collective aims to provide literal and figurative space for collaborators to engage in creative work that values the process as inseparable from the product and a vessel for personal growth; enabling the development and production of artistic work with storytelling through expressive arts, writing, theatre, film, and interdisciplinary approaches.
Without a Head has grown from personal experience and work in narrative film, film essays, writing, art therapy, and art-based research, with collaborators from across Europe. Coming together organically over a number of years, it unites artistic practice with values of collective development.
